Brown Sugar Rush

Feel the rush of owning a boba shop for a day!

Brown Sugar Rush is a cozy pixel-art time-management game. Flip the sign to open, take orders at the counter, make every drink on the 19-drink menu at the mix station (milk teas, fruit refreshers, matcha and chocolate) and hand it over with a smile. Fast and correct service earns tips, and tips bring more customers. When closing time comes, flip the sign again and see how your day went.

How to play

1. Tap the sign on the door to open the shop.
2. Tap the customer to take their order. The ticket writes itself.
3. Go to the Mix station and build the drink in four steps: Tea, Fruit, Toppings and Assembly.
4. Measure the tea in the measuring cup and set the sugar level, mix matcha, ube and taro powders with water, slice fruit with a swipe, trace the syrup down the cup, and stir the tapioca with circles of your finger.
5. Drag the ingredients into the cup in the right order (and the right amount of ice), tap Finish drink and drag it to the customer.
6. Watch the clock. At closing time, tap the sign to see your day.

Made for phones

• Short sessions: a whole day takes about six minutes, and you can pause any time.
• Cozy sound effects and café music, and it plays fine with the sound off: every cue is visual.
• Landscape, big touch targets, and a first-order walkthrough that shows you exactly what to tap next.
• Pauses itself when a call or notification interrupts you.
• No ads, no purchases. Anonymous analytics are optional and off until you say yes.

About the shop

The game is a love letter to the real boba shop T voor Thee (tvoorthee.nl, Instagram). If you are ever nearby, go and try the real thing.

Privacy

Brown Sugar Rush can send anonymous gameplay numbers (drinks served, tips, which station you use) to Unity Analytics, but only if you tap Allow on the first-launch question. You can change your mind any time from the title screen or the pause menu. No personal data is collected.
